2025 NFL Season Fantasy Picks & Drops

Week 5- Oct. 4th, 2025
If you want a running back in week 5, get Josh Jacobs. Jacobs has proven to be a reliable RB in Green Bay, and you should look to trade for him or pick him up from the waiver wire if he is available. With Jordan Love returning from injury, I don’t think Matt LaFleur will want to risk his QB again, which is why I think he will be using the running game a lot against the Rams. Jacobs will also come in handy throughout the season as the packers will start to use their running game more and more, and that is why I think Josh Jacobs is a great pick for your team.
Packers’ WR2 Dontavyion Wicks is set to have a massive game this week and you should pick him up. After his performance last week against the Vikings, I expect to see more of the same against the Rams defense, which has been awful against the passing game this year. I expect Wicks to go off this week alongside Jayden Reed and I think that he is a definite start for your fantasy team this week.

Week 4- Sept. 26th, 2025
This past week, the Panthers got their first win against the Raiders in a game where Carolina running back Chuba Hubbard did not disappoint. Hubbard picked up 32 fantasy points, mostly wasted since he is either a free agent or on somebody’s bench in most leagues. Hubbard had a total of 21 rushing attempts and five receptions, which led to a total of 169 yards and 1 receiving touchdown.
After his game against the Colts, I think that we can be safe to say that Rome Odunze will most likely be a top 3 rookie receiver and that he will continue to put up insane performances, but the best part about it is that in most leagues, Odunze is a free agent. After his first two weeks, Odunze was not considered a true weapon in the Bears’ offense and was dropped in many leagues, but after his 26-point 112 receiving yard performance against the Colts, we can start to tell how he matures alongside this Bears’ offense. I think he is someone you should get for your team if he is available, or even trade for him at a low cost.
Don’t fall for the Kyle Pitts craze. He isa mediocre tight-end at best, and although the Falcons’ offense has been balling this season, Pitts hasn’t been a big target for Kirk Cousins. It seems Cousins kept the same habit he developed in Minnesota: not targeting his tight-ends. If you are considering starting him in week 4, you should know that Pitts has never had more than three receptions against the Saints, and that streak probably won’t end this year because of how well the Saints are playing this season. He won’t make more than 9 points this week. And despite the current situation with underperforming tight-ends in the NFL this season, I think Pitts should be dropped from your team and you should pick someone up from the waiver wire or trade for another TE.

Week 3- Sept. 19th, 2025
After what was in my opinion a chaotic week in the NFL and in fantasy, I have some takes for what to expect for next week in NFL Fantasy. First off, a player who I am very excited to see play is the Baltimore Ravens’ Justice Hill. He is a promising running-back who I think promises a lot for this season despite what some analysts say. Hill had a massive game against the Chiefs in week 1 where he was used mostly as a screen play receiver. Despite only having 1 rush for 3 yards, he also had a total of 6 receptions for 52 receiving yards, which for a backup running-back is not bad at all. Hill showed composure and strength in the final minutes of the game where the Ravens looked to get the win in the final minutes of the game, which they did, but it got called off due to Isaiah Likely’s foot being just barely out of bounds. In week 2, he had a pretty deceiving game against the Raiders, only rushing for 22 yards and having a total of 10 receiving yards of off 2 receptions. Let’s not forget that Hill is the backup running-back for Derrick Henry, who gets most of the rushing touches for the Ravens, but I think he can be big for the Ravens late in the season and a trustable backup running-back which you should consider picking up.
For my second take of this week, I think that there is a fantasy deception in Denver. His name is Courtland Sutton. Despite him having been a consistent wide receiver for the Broncos these past few years, I think this season will not be very great for him because of the new offensive situation in Denver. He was taken somewhat high up in a lot of leagues because of his consistent performances last season, but I think this season will be different. After not having a great first two weeks against Seattle and Pittsburgh respectively, I do think his performances will remain the same. Sutton is usually a trusty second wide receiver, flex, or even someone you can have in your bench and rely on him when it is needed. But not this season. With Bo Nix being the starting quarterback in his first NFL season, along with some other changes in the Denver offense, I do not think this year will be pretty for Sutton and I think you should drop him.
After last night’s performance against the Patriots, another plyer you should consider picking up is Jets rookie Braelon Allen. Although he is the RB2 for the Jets behind Breece Hall, Allen has been remarkable these past 3 weeks for the Jets, even picking up 2 touchdowns against the Titans in Week 2. Allen was drafted 134th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft from the Wisconsin Badgers. To me, this pick was an absolute steal from the Jets, considering Allen summed up over 3,600 yards and 35 TDs in his college career with Wisconsin. This past college season, Allen rushed for 984 yards and 12 touchdowns, which is basically nothing compared to his past seasons. Allen is a strong and big running-back, coming in at 6’1 and 236 pounds, you don’t really want to tackle him. Allen has been massive during his entire football career, and we should expect more of the same he did in Wisconsin this year with the Jets. I think Braelon Allen is a fantastic waiver wire pick up you should get for your team.
If you were looking for a QB for your Fantasy team, do NOT get Anthony Richardson. Richardson is just starting off his 2nd year in the NFL, and although I don’t think he is a bad player and I do think that eventually (maybe in a couple years) he will be great quarterback for the Colts, I just don’t think now is the moment for him and I do think this year won’t be a very good year for him. Richardson is going into week 3 off a loss against the Green Bay Packers, which meant that they were now 0-2. Richardson has been disappointing these first few weeks and I think we should expect to see more of the same from him for these next couple of weeks. I think you should drop him because of a couple reasons. First, despite him having a decent receiving core, his offensive line just does not help him. Richardson has been constantly struggling in the pocket and not being able to use his arm as he should. And I know what you’re thinking, “oh but he’s a dual threat, he can run, he should be fine”, but it’s just not like that. The Colts’ offense has been getting run over by defenses since the preseason and things will not change in the near future, so that’s why I think you should leave Anthony Richardson out of your Fantasy team for this season, or at least until the Colts start to do well and fix some of their issues.

Week 2- Sept. 12th, 2025
A new week means more picks. And for this week’s first start, I'm going with Michael Pittman. Despite him having a below average game last week, Pittman has proved to be a consistent Fantasy wide receiver. He plays the Broncos this week, and despite them having a great secondary, I still think he will have a decent game, as he has also proved to be one of the most underrated receivers in the league. Pittman could be a good start for your team this week if you don’t know who to start, and he is even available in some leagues through Free Agency, if that is your case, you should definitely pick him up.
If you have Drake London in your starting lineup for this week, you should reconsider starting him. London has been incredible this season, but he does play one of the best defenses in the league. And although I do think he is an elite receiver, I feel like this secondary will overpower him. It’s also important to note that Micheal Penix will be under pressure almost the whole game, considering Minnesota has one of the best defensive lines in the league while the Falcons have a mediocre offensive line. I think the Falcons will use their run game much more this week, and that is why you should bench Drake London in week 2.
I cannot believe that there are leagues that have Jonathan Taylor available on Free Agency. JT has proven to be one of the best running backs in the league when he is in form, which he has been almost all season long. Taylor plays the Broncos this week, and I expect him to have a massive game. Their run game is bad, and if you don’t count the weeks he missed due to injury last year, he has put up at least 10 points in every game, an average of 19, and he is coming off of a 17-point performance against the Dolphins. Jonathan Taylor has every right to be in your starting lineup, and if he is in your league’s Free Agency, pick him up immediately.

Week 1- Sept. 6th, 2025
Brenton Strange (start): Strange is the TE1 on a team where Trevor Lawrence has depended a lot on his previous tight ends, including Evan Engram, who when healthy (not in 2024) had a career season just 37 yards shy of the 1k mark and 100+ receptions. Strange is a great pickup if you’re in a bad TE situation, and he’s available in most leagues too.
Xavier Legette (start): Xavier Legette will start this year as a WR2 behind rookie Tetairoa McMillan, but that doesn’t mean you should count him out. In the offseason, HC Dave Canales stated on Legette when he saw the “that guy” potential in him, which in other words means besides McMillan or unless something catastrophic happens, Legette will be targeted a lot more than last year. The WR dealt with a lot of bad misses last season and overall ended the season on a bad note even under Bryce Young’s impressive performances in the final stretch of the season. But either way, with what we’ve seen from the QB in the offseason and at the end of last season, it seems like this year will be a great one for Bryce Young, and you should not count Legette out.
Zay Flowers (sit): Zay Flowers had a notable downfall towards the end of last season, finishing his last 2 regular season games with 12 and 31 yards against the Browns and the Texans, and despite facing elite CB’s like Derek Stingley and Charvarius Ward, these performances should not come out of a guy like Flowers. Plus, he’s facing one of the most underrated CB’s in the league this Sunday in Christian Benson, and according to the stats and trends, Flowers will have a disappointing game. We recommend you sit him.
Goerge Pickens (start): Pickens will start tonight as a WR2, but he is expected to face Adoree Jackson on his Cowboys debut. Jackson is a notably mid cornerback, and Pickens has a lot to prove in Dallas. We fully expect the brand-new receiver to have a great game especially as CeeDee will take all the attention from the good Db’s from the Eagles such as Quinyon Mitchell and Copper DeJean. Pickens is a definite start.
